Come learn about the SKA Project and hear from Dr. Fanaroff, the scientist presenting South Africa´s bid to host the world´s most powerful radio telescope, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA)!

The SKA is a $2 billion project that will include thousands of house-sized audio astronomy dishes listening for the origins of the Big Bang. If placed in Africa, it will change the continent, create demand for new technologies, and develop business spin-offs unimaginable today.

A decision will be made in early 2012 between the two potential sites for the SKA, South Africa & Australia.
